Join us in St. Michael's Community Centre on the third Wednesday every other month to watch the latest films, in the best local surroundings, with friendly local people - plus wine and popcorn!

Flordon Film Club will be screening Conclave (2024, 12A) in St. Michael's Community Centre Wednesday 12th March 2025 . The doors open at 7.00pm and the film starts at 7.45.
Based on Robert Harris’s best-selling novel about a papal election. Cardinal Lawrence (Ralph Fiennes) is tasked with running this covert process after the unexpected death of the beloved Pope. Once the Catholic Church's most powerful leaders have gathered from around the world and are locked together in the Vatican halls, Lawrence uncovers a trail of
deep secrets left in the dead Pope's wake - secrets which could shake the foundations of the Church.
Conclave, made by German director Edward Berger, picked up four BAFTA awards in total this month, including best film and best British film; the first time a movie has won both in the same year since the 2019 war drama, 1917. It also won best adapted screenplay and best editing.
