Night of the Stars

2 weeks to go

Night of the Stars

Mulbarton and Bracon Ash Churces are joining with churches all over the country for the Night of the Stars.  From 21st December until 6th January, we will be displaying a big lit-up star outside both churches. Why not walk, jog, cycle or drive past and take a look from outside the churches. You even like to travel between both chruches. As you pass each star, maybe you could take a few moments to consider that Jesus came to earth at Christmas to be the light of the world; to light up our lives with his love and to bring us back to our Father in heaven.

A prayer:

Blessed are you, Lord God, creator of day and night:

to you be praise and glory for ever.

In this darkness you renew your promise

to reveal among us the light of your presence.

By the light of Christ, your living Word,

dispel the darkness of our hearts

that we may walk as children of light

and sing your praise throughout the world;

today and every day. Amen.

Family Epiphany Service and #FollowTheStar Feast!

4 weeks to go

Family Epiphany Service and #FollowTheStar Feast!

Christmas is over...Schools and businesses are back in full swing...This time of year can be a low point for many...

So, change all that this year and join us for our Epiphany Celebrations, the time when we celebrate the wise men reaching Jesus in Bethlehem and presenting their gifts to him.

We begin at 10am with our family friendly service of Holy Communion in Bracon Ash Church. Andrew will guide us through our service, in contemporary language with traditional Epiphany carols. Our service will last 70mins.

Following our service we will then move to the Jubilee Room for 12noon at Mulbarton Village Hall for our #FollowTheStarFeast. Please bring some food and drink to share - hot drinks will be provided. We might not be able to feed the 5,000, but if everyone brings a little something, we'll certainly enjoy a feast!

Interspersed throughout our day we will re-descover some old Epiphany traditions, make some new ones and generally have a lot of interactive fun together! Everyone is welcome to join us for all or part of our celebrations.

Don't feel low because the Christmas festivities are over; the Epiphany festivities have just arrived!
